MY FINAL REFLECTION.
After many presentations, hard job, and lots of activities, I got into the conclusion that all of this was absolutely necessary, because there are always new things to learn; in our role as teachers we must have an open mind to new ideas which can give us different ways of developing a better teaching in the classrooms, mountains of interesting information was given much of this information was known but a lot of it was new and well received. Among the information received, the conferences observed, the videos, presentations made and activities done, I could subtract relevant teachings to myself, reflections and conclusions that in any ways give me a better thinking of what teaching should be and what kind of materials and resources we should use in order to help students in their learning process. I can talk, for example, about PBL, it is an interesting method to apply with the students, because through problems, learning can happen, thi is that students based their research on finding solutions to the problem and during the process, learning occurs, this topic is related with autonomus learning, because this who studies and learns by himself, seeks, looks for new iinformation, gathers and collects new teachings, makes insights, gives solutions and learn, no so far, cases study, develops all this processes, but it is more scientific and organized, because it has some steps and rules to fulfill; research, insights, data collection, data analysis and some others, are part of the case study, which is on this days a very used method to make students have more chance to develop their abilities, to be autonomous and to get knowledge by their own experience. Delivering lecture reminds us that more than giving an extraordinary lecture, we as teachers need to be more in touch with the students, making them to feel comfortable and confident with us, and this is possible when we are alive in front of them, when we show them that they are important for us, that their learning is of our interest, this is to talk direct to their eyes, throught our facial expressions, gestures and movements, students learn more from our expositions when we give our knowledge in a living body. After sharing our knowledge with the students, it is really necessary to show them the best way to summarize and take notes, because on this depends their development on the assessments, the different ways of summarizing can guide students to a better learning and to take advantage of the time; drawing, marking, enclosing, high lighting and many other, are good helpers. Authors, scholars, an uncountable number of methods, books, publishers, even teachers, have created many different kinds of materials and resources to make english more attractive for the learners, then what is really important here, is the use qe give to the materials, having into acount the strategies, techniques or studies we are to apply.
